SRS Scheduled Outage - site switch Feb 27, 07:30-08:00 NZDT
During the maintenance window we will be switching the SRS front-end from the Wellington (Avalon) site to the Auckland (Albany) site.

The front-end change is transparent and should have no impact on registrar systems, however if your application caches DNS records without handling TTLs or your recursive DNS servers are mangling TTL values and enforcing a longer TTL then you may encounter issues.

Scheduled - We will be reconfiguring two network devices at the Albany SRS Site in relation to issues encounterd earlier today.
This should have no impact on production services.

Monitoring - An update to the earlier SRS outage notification. This is to confirm that we have switched the SRS frontend from our primary site to our secondary site. There should be no impact to registrar systems with this site switch, however if your system or recursive DNS servers are mangling TTL values for srs.net.nz and thus enforcing a longer TTL then you may encounter issues.
NZRS are currently monitoring the systems to ensure there are no further issues. If you are still experiencing any problems with your connection to the SRS please contact support@nzrs.net.nz or call +64 4 931 6970.

Resolved - The SRS system (including EPP) is operational again. The WHOIS system was operational throughout the outage. We have switched from our primary site to our secondary site. NZRS are currently monitoring the systems to ensure there are no further issues. Identified - There is a problem with one of our servers at the primary site and we are switching to our secondary SRS site. We are expecting this to take up to 15 minutes and have the SRS operational shortly after the site switch.

Scheduled - We'll be replacing the TLS certificates used on srs1.srs.net.nz, srsepp.srs.net.nz and srsavail.srs.net.nz at 07:00 - 07:30 Sunday 11th of February.
